Entering into its 12^th run, the Modulus Festival is no stranger to show-stopping musical lineups full of the kind of originality that sparks thought-provoking conversations and stays in your memory.

Highlights of the 2023 festival include: a concert of music by Julius Eastman performed by the Music on Main All-Star Band and the Vancouver Youth Choir; world premieres by Nancy Tam and Dorothy Chang performed by Standing Wave Ensemble; and a brand new collaboration from Eve Egoyan and Mauricio Pauly.

One audience member called the music they hear at at Modulus “experimental, but never alienating” and another said that a 2022 performance was the “best thing I’ve seen in Vancouver.”
