“The music hurtles through daring emotional shifts, with fiery outbursts one moment and achingly confused expressions the next. Mr. Davies sang it overwhelmingly.”The New York Times

Recognized as one of today’s great singers, Iestyn Davies brings to life pieces by English minimalist Michael Nyman and baroque composer Henry Purcell.

Fretwork, “the finest viol consort on the planet” (Stephen Pettitt, The London Evening Standard), joins the award-winning countertenor in this stunning co-production with Early Music Vancouver. “Expect bold harmonies, wondrous inventions, and melodies that will haunt your dreams – whether from the 17th century or the 21st” (Early Music Vancouver).

This performance is presented in partnership with Early Music Vancouver.

This concert’s Presenting Corporate Sponsor is Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) and has been generously supported by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association.
