This Spring, David Kaplan brings his astonishingly beautiful piano playing to audiences at the Fox Cabaret.

And whether you’re a die-hard fan of classical piano or you just want to hear some beautiful music, this is a programme you’ll love. The music plays with the idea of “keyboard fantasies,” compositions that often are inspired by improvisation. As David says, the spirit of improvisation invites audiences to…

Alongside Beethoven’s Sonata “Quasi una Fantasia” and short pieces by Robert Schumann, there’s profound and moving music by some of today’s leading composers, including Canadian premieres from Christopher Cerrone and Anthony Cheung.

You’ll feel a sense of wonder as the music unfolds in Cerrone’s hypnotic Passagework, and you’ll be transported to the fantasy-inspired world of Cheung’s Holding Patterns.
