Entry to the BIG BANG Festival is free with various free activities such as face painting, the Bounce House, a lively carnival band, plus our ticketed events, music rooms where you’ll discover a variety of musical genres, each creating a unique and immersive experience.

Craving something delicious during the festival? Food trucks will be located right outside the venue on the Roundhouse Turntable Plaza!

Music on Main offers a limited number of complimentary tickets for all self-identifying Indigenous peoples. This policy is informed by our commitment to recognize and honour the original and ongoing stewards of these lands. Tickets can be reserved by contacting [email protected] or by calling 604-879-9888.

By taking part in this event you grant the event organizers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or promotion of Music on Main and Roundhouse programs and events. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a Festival staff member on site.

 

Adventurous Music Festival for Young Audiences

Get ready for another unforgettable Family Day weekend with the second iteration of the BIG BANG Festival in Vancouver! Presented by Music on Main and Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre, this joyful celebration of sound is designed for youth ages 5+, their families, and anyone with a sense of adventure.

Step into a world of musical wonder where imagination takes centre stage. With everything from hands‑on art activities like colouring stations and face painting, to unexpected pop‑up performances and mind‑blowing mini‑concerts, the Festival promises surprises around every corner.

Part of the Roundhouse Family Day celebration, BIG BANG transforms the Roundhouse into a buzzing playground of rhythm, colour, and creativity. Whether it’s your first time or you’re coming back for more, this is a day to move, listen, create, and be amazed.

Presented by Music on Main and the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre.

Do you want to become a BIG BANG Ambassador? 

BIG BANG Ambassadors are the ultimate hosts of the festival. Ranging in age from 10 to 12, they are the face of the event, bringing energy and curiosity everywhere they go. You might spot them welcoming audiences, guiding visitors, interviewing artists, or attending rehearsals. From testing every sound station to chatting with performers and mingling with the crowd, the Ambassadors keep the festival buzzing with excitement.

Accessibility
The Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre (located at 181 Roundhouse Mews) is located at street level through the entrance off Roundhouse Mews, or accessible via a ramp or stairs through the entrance off Pacific Boulevard.

The venue is 200 metres from the Yaletown-Roundhouse Skytrain Station, and within feet of bus routes 6 and C23. There is also an underground parking lot on the premises, with an entrance off Drake Street. Parking is $4 per hour.

The Roundhouse features accessible rooms, an elevator to reach the second floor, and accessible washrooms. For more information, please contact the Roundhouse at [email protected]
