When cellist Ariel Barnes performs, he’s celebrated for a “luscious tone and technical prowess” (The Vancouver Sun) and for creating a “mesmerizing musical experience” (Toronto Live Music Report) for his audience.
Now based in Germany, the former principal cellist at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra has a passion for creating 21st-Century art music. He is consistently involved in working with composers and ensembles to develop new literature for the cello and currently has eight concerti and eleven solo and chamber works written especially for him.
Immerse yourself in this musical exploration through diverse classical sounds, where ageless masterpieces seamlessly intertwine with new works.
