Music on Main celebrates the winter season with the second annual concert inspired by the solstice.
Composer In Residence Caroline Shaw and Artistic Director David Pay have programmed an evening of luminous music for long, dark nights, including Caroline Shaw’s “Winter Carol,” Alfredo Santa Ana’s “A Short Song for the Longest Night of the Year,” James Maxwell’s “Serere,” readings of inspired poetry that complements the music, and more.
Plus, Caroline Shaw has written a winter carol that we can all sing together. Click here to hear it in advance, or learn it from the score below.
This is a concert of warmth and light, with a holiday feel minus the mistletoe. Don’t miss it.
This concert is generously sponsored by Eileen Mate.
