“… here’s the vivid evidence of a bright mind’s refusal to comply
to several of today’s unwritten rules.”
A ferocious musician who possesses virtuosity that is far-reaching, Anne La Berge delicately spins an improvisation with her signature percussive flute effects. Based in Amsterdam, Anne’s here for one-night-only to wow with groundbreaking music composed by David Dramm, Hugo Morales, Yannis Kyriakides, and La Berge herself, complete with installations and audience interaction.
“There are a whole lot of things you can do with a flute,
and avant-flutist Anne La Berge has done most everything that’s legal…
exhibiting the control of a Sufi monk, her past performances
have included some of the loveliest moments
ever heard on local stages.”
