Join Music on Main for a super-fun night of music inspired by karaoke, film, and video games.

We’ve got Nicole Lizée’s Karappo Okesutura riffing off classic karaoke videos from the ’80s and ’90s. The North American premiere of her Tarantino Etudes features a death-defying sword fight between flute player and on-screen Uma Thurman. Stefan Prins won the ISCM Young Composers Award with Piano Hero #1, a piece where the pianist becomes a mere operator in a world of bits and bytes.  And Composer In Residence Caroline Shaw’s Limestone & Felt is a whimsical, mystical, generous world of sounds echoing and colliding in the imagined eaves of a gothic chapel.

It’s a concert that will make you laugh, applaud, and want to come back for more.
