Building connections between Vancouver’s artistic communities through unexpected pairings and new collaborations, this intimate performance brings together the idiosyncratic talents of composer and improviser Joshua Zubot with acclaimed musicians Jesse Zubot, Peggy Lee, Meredith Bates, James Meger, dance artist Heather Myers, and video artist C130 (Ian Ross).

Zubot’s music combines traditional and graphic notation with virtuosic group improvisation, creating unpredictable sonic landscapes that blend the ferocious and the crystalline. With the addition of new collaborators Myers and Ross, expect a performance full of surprising partnerships between sound and visuals, bravado and stillness.
