Music on Main Announces Departure of Artistic Planning & Operations Manager, Shayna Goldberg

After nearly seven years of remarkable dedication, Shayna Goldberg will be stepping away from her role as Artistic Planning & Operations Manager on May 30, 2025 to take on an exciting new position as Artistic Managing Director at the Chutzpah! Festival and the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre.

Since joining Music on Main in 2018, Shayna has been a cornerstone of the organization. Her leadership and attention to detail have ensured that every event has run seamlessly, all while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for artists, staff, production teams, and audiences alike.

Shayna has contributed immensely to the culture of Music on Main, not only through her deep knowledge of production logistics, budgets, and strategic planning, but also through her delicious baked goods! We’ll miss her signature red hair, impeccable organizational skills, creative production style, and unwavering commitment to the arts.

Reflecting on her departure Shayna shared:

Being a part of an organization like Music on Main has been such a privilege. I have absolutely loved my time here, and feel bittersweet about leaving. I’m also very excited for this new chapter in my life. I will miss the team and the artists, but look forward to being an audience member for a change!

Artistic Director David Pay adds:

I am extremely grateful for the work Shayna has done at Music on Main over the last six-and-a-half years. She has been an essential colleague, and friend, through all of the ups and downs, challenges and victories that Music on Main has had since her arrival in 2018.

Shayna has grown the organization in so many ways: production management; artist relations; financial management; human resources; administrative systems; strategic planning; and so much more. Her leadership and vision with the introduction of the BIG BANG Festival will allow Music on Main to continue offering programming for children for years to come. Her years-long work on The Tempest Project helped support the largest production in Music on Main’s history.

Shayna is leaving very large shoes to fill at Music on Main, but I am so excited to see the direction and energy she will bring to the Chutzpah! Festival. This extraordinary opportunity will allow Shayna to lead a world-renowned festival of dance, music, theatre, and comedy, and I know she will excel.

Everyone at Music on Main will miss Shayna’s daily presence, but we are incredibly proud of her and excited to see what she will accomplish at the Chutzpah! Festival.
