We’re thrilled to share that our own Joseph Bardsley will be starting as the Coordinator, Music Programs at Creative BC – one of BC’s public arts and media funding agencies – in January 2022. Joseph has served as Music on Main’s Development Manager for over four years, beginning with ISCM World New Music Days, back in 2017, and has left a lasting impact on each of us. The connections he’s made with community partners, donors, audience members, and supporters have been deeply felt, and his deep love for music shines through every day. “I have also truly loved my years at Music on Main. The incredible colleagues that have become friends; the supportive culture that has helped me through many major life moments over the years; Dave’s unfailingly kind and pragmatic mentorship and leadership, and the network of audience members, donors, volunteers, and supporters who have inspired me with their creativity and dedication to live music in Vancouver and beyond. Music on Main was the perfect opportunity at the perfect time for me, and I take pride in looking back at the impact I had on the organization. I’ve become a better fundraiser, a better mentor, and a better peer. (At Music on Main, we often talk about our culture setting individuals up to be better human beings, full stop, and I feel like that has similarly been the case, too).“
