Music on Main’s vibrant new series Roam returns with a performance of classical music for the modern age, presented with Here There.

Composed in 1970 at the height of the Vietnam War, George Crumb’s Black Angels for electric string quartet is a piece that amplifies and reflects the conflicts that continue around the world today.

Now we’re presenting this compelling, perturbing work, paired with Osvaldo Golijov’s captivating Tenebrae: a musical experience unlike any other.

Presented with Here There.

This concert is supported by The Hamber Foundation. Music on Main’s Roam series is generously sponsored by the Seedlings Foundation.

This event is made possible with support from the Vancouver Foundation.
