Music on Main and Early Music Vancouver present a concert spanning half a century, tracing the path of British Isles folk music to isolated rural areas of the United States.  Catherine Webster, Stephen Stubbs, and other musicians with feet in both the early music and traditional folk worlds come together to create a gorgeous programme of Foster songs, 19th-century hymns and reels, and exquisite arrangements of Appalachian early folk tunes and ballads.

These remarkable performers find themselves perfectly at home in the sometimes lively, often plaintive and haunting melodies of 19th-century America, giving this programme life beyond any classification.

Presented with Early Music Vancouver. Generously sponsored by Chris Guzy & Mari Csemi.
